Before + After
Arbuckle Wilderness Flyer
Client: Self-Initiated (Mock Project for Portfolio)
Original Designer: Arbuckle Wilderness

Project Overview:

The original flyer for Arbuckle Wilderness aimed to highlight family-friendly attractions, but the layout was dense, text-heavy, and lacked visual flow. I redesigned it to better engage viewers through strategic hierarchy, cohesive branding, and a cleaner, more modern layout—without losing the excitement of the park’s offerings.

Goals:
-
Reorganize layout to guide the viewer’s eye
-
Improve type hierarchy for readability
-
Highlight key features and offers more effectively
-
Add breathing room to reduce visual overload
-
Preserve the family-fun theme with a more polished presentation

AFTER

Key Improvements:

-
Established a clear type hierarchy using bold headings and simplified body text
-
Restructured the layout to create a natural visual flow and reduce clutter
-
Pulled out key features (drive-thru safari, petting zoo, gift shop) for fast scanning
-
Styled callouts and offers to stand out without overwhelming the design
-
Maintained the original theme while updating fonts, spacing, and alignment for a more professional finish
Tools Used: Canva Pro, brand-inspired color palette adjustments, visual spacing guides

Takeaway:
Thoughtful layout and clear visual flow make a huge difference—even for fun, family-oriented brands. This redesign keeps the original excitement but adds polish and purpose, making the flyer easier to read and more likely to capture attention in a busy scroll or community board.
