Harvest & Hooves Flyer
Client: Self-Initiated (Mock Project for Portfolio)
Original Designer: Kyla Nichole Photography

Project Overview:

This redesign project began with a self-made flyer provided by the original business owner. I took the original concept and elevated it with a more polished, family-friendly design. The goal was to enhance visual appeal, better communicate the charm of the event, and help it stand out in both print and digital spaces — because let’s be real, who wouldn’t want mini Highland cows and donkeys in their photo session?
Goals:
Redesign the flyer to:
-
Instantly communicate the charm and cozy feel of the event
-
Appeal to families, animal lovers, and local photo clients
-
Incorporate relevant imagery for stronger emotional connection
-
Make the layout feel more professional, readable, and print-ready

Key Improvements:

-
Strengthened visual storytelling with relatable animal imagery
-
Created better balance and whitespace for easier scanning
-
Brought the flyer up to a more polished, brand-consistent level that better reflects the quality of the session
-
Maintained a friendly, warm tone throughout
Tools Used: Canva Pro, brand-inspired color palette adjustments, visual spacing guides

Takeaway:
This redesign shows how thoughtful visuals can completely transform a client’s first impression. A well-designed flyer doesn’t just “share details”—it builds anticipation and trust. This is exactly the kind of creative problem-solving I bring to every project, whether I’m asked to tweak an existing design or rebuild it from the ground up.
